81K People Want Time Back, Not Productivity

Anthropic interviewed 80,508 Claude users across 159 countries and 70 languages — the largest qualitative AI study ever run. The headline: people's hopes for AI aren't about productivity. They're about getting their lives back.

⚙️ Fifty percent said AI saves them time. But 18% said that time just gets reinvested in higher workloads. The treadmill didn't slow down — it sped up. Chuck and Jenni get into what that tension means for anyone building or communicating an AI adoption strategy right now.

🌍 Workers in lower and middle income countries are far more optimistic about AI than those in Western Europe or North America. Their vision is economic opportunity and access to learning. Enterprise rollouts almost never centre that perspective — and they probably should.
